I heard a broadcast on BBC World Service week last on surrogacy. It sad to listen. An Irish woman, Carolina, who had cancer of the ovary, a few years ago and had subsequently married, had travelled to India to find a replacement to "her" baby, writes Francis Phillips of The Catholic Herald.
